A message for subscribers to Digital Education

Dear Subscribers

I hope you have had a nice Spring break, if you had one. This is just a very quick note to say that for some of you, the status in my mailing list software is "Confirmation pending". You will be able to check whether this is the case by seeing if you received the welcome email containing details of archives and a password. If you didn't receive that, it means that one of the following has happened:

Scenario 1: You missed my email inviting you to re-join the Digital Education list. In that case, assuming you would like to re-subscribe, look for the email that I sent on 16th March. It may have ended up in your junk mailbox.

Scenario 2: You didn't miss it at all, but decided that you no longer wish to be subscribed. In that case, don't do anything, for the reason stated below.

Scenario 3: You recently subscribed, but you haven't confirmed that it was you who signed up. Look for the email I sent you immediately after you signed up. It may have landed in your junk mailbox. If you can't find it, which seems to happen sometimes, try signing up with a different email address.

Scenario 4: You didn't miss my email, but you're wondering whether or not to continue subscribing to Digital Education. I don't want to do a big selling job on you, so you could read about the benefits on the newsletter page. In the next issue of the newsletter, which I'm hoping to bring out early next week, I'll be running a prize draw for a Micro:bit manual and also for a book by Andrew Keen called How to Fix the Internet. There will also be at least one book review, a review of a new device, and a software update, plus useful information relating to Facebook.

If you have decided not to subscribe or re-subscribe after all, this is what you must do: nothing. After 30 days, your details will disappear automatically. In the case of people who were on my original list, that should be later today or tomorrow. If your details do disappear and that was a mistake, just sign up again on the newsletter page.

That's it from me. I do hope to see you on the subscription list again, but if not, thank you for your interest to date.
